Biography

Bernard has had extensive experience in venture capital, investment banking, telecommunications and strategy across sub-Saharan Africa. He is an Investment Manager at Norrsken22; an African tech growth fund providing capital and strategic value to founders in Africa. Prior to Norrsken22, Bernard was Head of Investments at Acuity Venture Partners, an Africa focused early stage investor. Bernard led Acuity’s investment in twenty-four technology businesses across FinTech, Market Enablement and Soft Infrastructure verticals. These include Mono, DashApp, OnePipe, Termii, AmiTruck, Lami, Brass, Sabi among others. Before this, Bernard was a Senior Associate at I-DEV International in Kenya, helping companies across East Africa scale by helping them raise growth finance and supporting them with strategy and go-to-market blueprints. Bernard holds a B.Sc. in Management Information Systems, Cum Laude, from Ashesi University, where he was a recipient of the President’s Scholarship, Leadership and Citizenship award.
