Biography

Azeez Amida has had a meteoric growth in his 17-year career that spanned across FMCG, healthcare, investment banking,  agriculture, and private equity.  He is currently the deputy managing director at EastCastle Infrastructure, one of West Africa’s key telecom Tower Infrastructure providers.

Before his current appointment, Amida had been CEO at IHS Rwanda and, before that, the director of FP&A at IHS Towers Nigeria, where he had helped develop a Global Standard Finance Function.

Amida led the turnaround at IHS Rwanda, which made the company one of the fastest growing entities in IHS Group, with expanded opportunities and new deals for existing customers. His performance at IHS Rwanda cemented his reputation as a growth catalyst.

He has also acted in consulting capacities in oil and gas, real estate, and manufacturing, among others.

A mentor, Africanist, and creative manager, Amida is an alumnus of IE Business School and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
