Biography

I am a dedicated international climate lawyer driven by a passion for scaling solutions rooted in the three pillars of progress: people, planet, and profit. With a wealth of experience in the Voluntary Carbon Market, I’ve played a pivotal role in consulting on projects related to afforestation, agriculture, and nature restoration. My expertise extends to advising governments on the implementation of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

Currently, I am actively contributing to the Uganda Task Force consultation and serving as a member of the Kenya Nairobi Climate Network working group. My commitment to driving positive change extends beyond the boardroom, as I’ve had the privilege of sharing insights as a public speaker at prestigious events like COP27, the World Economic Forum, Africa Climate Summit 2023, and New York Climate Week. My speaking engagements focus on catalyzing carbon removal project development, promoting investments in nature-based solutions, and advocating for robust regulatory frameworks in carbon credit projects, particularly emphasizing social co-benefit accounting.

As the co-founder of 1MTN, a leading company dedicated to high-quality carbon removal project development, I am steadfastly working toward our goal of restoring one million hectares of degraded land in Africa by 2030. Our mission not only benefits the environment but also creates socio-economic opportunities for local communities.

In addition to my work with 1MTN, I proudly represent the company in the UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerator. Furthermore, I serve as the Ambassador of Nairobi in the Top Tier Impact Network, where I am deeply committed to advocating for Africa and bridging investment opportunities with impactful solutions on the continent.

You can find me splitting my time between the vibrant cities of Kampala, Tallinn, Riga, and Nairobi as I continue to drive positive change in the field of climate law and sustainable development.
