Biography

Ahmed El Saharty is a Vice President and is a member of the beyond BRIC public equity investment team covering Central Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. He is based in New York.

Prior to joining TRG in January 2018, Mr. El-Saharty served as an associate at Briarwood Capital Partners, an emerging and frontier markets focused hedge fund focusing on the MENA region. His research experience also includes time as analyst at CI Capital Asset Management covering the Middle East & Africa region. Mr. El-Saharty began his career at the Rock Creek Group a Washington, DC based fund of fund where he focused on MENA managers.

Mr. El-Saharty earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of Toronto. He was born in Egypt and raised in Cairo and Washington DC, and is a native speaker of Arabic and French.
