Biography

Mr. Kowalski has more than 20 years of experience in international banking, with special expertise in development finance, risk management and credit risk management. In his role as head of group credit risk at ProCredit Holding, he oversaw a loan portfolio of more than EUR 4 billion, and as CEO of ProCredit Bank Romania, he managed the institution during times of rapid expansion while achieving profitability in a highly competitive environment.

Since 2014, he is Managing Partner at I.D. Inspiring Development GmbH, a Frankfurt-based specialized management consulting firm for banks and Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) operating in emerging markets. inspiring development focuses on Micro-, Small- and Medium-sized Enterprise (MSME)-oriented institutions in Eastern Europe & Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America.
