“Lloyd Banda currently serves as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Malawi Agricultural and Industrial Investment Corporation plc (MAIIC), a pivotal institution driving economic transformation through strategic investment in agriculture, and other key sectors of the economy. In addition to his responsibilities as Acting CEO, he concurrently holds the position of Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.

A seasoned Banking and Finance Professional, he brings to MAIIC a wealth of expertise accumulated over 20 years of progressive experience in the commercial banking and development finance sectors. His professional journey is distinguished by a strong focus on Credit Management, Risk Governance, and Strategic Financial Planning.

He holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI), a prestigious regional business school. He also earned a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons.) in Financial Markets and Management from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.
