“Dr. Linda Davis, the founder and CEO of Giraffe Bioenergy, is a leading figure in regenerative agriculture and renewable energy. Her company is at the forefront of developing ethanol cooking fuel from cassava in Kenya. With a Masters and PhD in Microbiology from the University of Western Sydney, Australia and a Food Science and Technology degree from Jomo Kenyatta University, Kenya, Dr. Davis brings over 20 years of experience to her role. Her expertise and dedication have made her a prominent advocate for clean cooking fuels and sustainable development in rural East Africa.

Her leadership emphasises innovation, environmental stewardship, and community service. She serves on the board of the Clean Cooking Association of Kenya (CCAK) and the Graca Machel Trust Energy Advisory Board. Dr. Davis is dedicated to women’s economic advancement, ensuring sustainable livelihoods, food security and access to sustainable clean cooking fuel for all.

Dr. Davis is a certified mountaineering instructor and she enjoys gardening.”
