Biography

Leila Ahlstrom has served as Investment Officer for East Africa within the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation’s Mission Transaction Unit supporting USAID’s development objectives since DFC’s founding in 2020. Previously, she served as a Relationship Manager for Africa at USAID’s Development Credit Authority from 2015-2019. Prior to that, she worked in the private sector for over 10 years.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from UC Berkeley and a master’s in international affairs from UC San Diego.
