Biography

Ed has spent his career working on nature and climate issues from a broad range of perspectives spanning finance, major corporates and international NGOs. A large portion of his career has been spent living and working in Africa. He is currently Natural Climate Solutions lead at carbon finance firm Respira were he focusses on the origination of forest, soil and blue carbon projects globally. Before joining Respira, he led The Nature Conservancy’s forest program in Africa, co-founding the Africa Forest Carbon Catalyst – a pioneering accelerator program designed to support early stage African carbon projects. Prior to TNC Ed worked in BP’s alternative energy division assessing new low carbon business opportunities.
