Biography

Born and raised in South Africa, Dr. Michael Musgrave has over 25 years experience in biodiversity conservation, forestry, natural climate solutions, carbon offsets, sustainable development, and business development. He has worked at every level in the Natural Climate Solutions industry and has on-the-ground experience in developing prefeasibility studies, project management, carbon measurement, reporting & verification, analysing governance & policy and developing frameworks for REDD+ programme assessment as well as strategy planning and implementation for some of Africa’s largest conservation organizations. Michael has worked in 26 African countries and has extensive experience in sub-Saharan Africa. He graduated from Rhodes University and the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and holds a PhD in Sustainable Development from the University of St Andrews.
