Biography

Wieger Fokke is a Senior Investment Officer in the FMO Financial Institutions Department. He is responsible for origination, structuring and execution of financings to a portfolio of existing and new financial institutions clients in Eastern- and Southern Africa. Since joining FMO in 2011, Wieger has worked on many debt and equity transactions with financial institutions mainly in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and more recently Africa. He has also worked in the FMO corporate and project finance department where he was responsible for a portfolio of infrastructure projects, corporate and manufacturing clients in West Africa and Latin America. Prior to joining FMO, Wieger worked for the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs being involved in international trade promotion and business initiatives.
