Biography

Anand Naidoo has a BSc in Electrical Engineering (Cum Laude) and an MBA (with distinction). Anand started his career at Eskom’s Matimba Power Station. He was later seconded to Siemens AG in Germany to obtain specialised training in the planning of electricity supply systems.

Anand rejoined Eskom, where he achieved the position of chief engineer in 2001, responsible for capital expansion projects. Anand joined Absa Bank early in 2004, to start Absa’s business offering in the Power and Energy sector. In 2010 Anand was appointed Managing Principal and Co-Head of Investment Banking Coverage. In March 2018 he was appointed Managing Executive, Client Coverage at the Corporate and Investment Bank.
