Biography

Over a 20 year career, Roland has lived, worked or built businesses in infrastructure sectors in over 15 African countries. He was a founding member of the first private equity infrastructure fund focused solely on sub-Saharan Africa; co-founded an award winning private equity infrastructure boutique; and established Mubadala Infrastructure Partners’ first office, and strategy outside of the Middle East in Africa.

Roland has invested in, advised, or turned around landmark infrastructure businesses and transactions across Africa both as a principal investor and on behalf of third parties.
