AFSIC is believed to be the largest Africa investment event taking place annually outside Africa and has become one of the most important conduits of investment into Africa.
Prior to launching Weebi Pierre worked as a business developer for three start-ups based in Dakar Senegal. He worked for Manobi, deploying payment solutions for water distribution, then for InTouch SA where he had the opportunity to develop a single window service gathering money transfer services within a single mobile device and then for Cdiscount Senegal a e-commerce website.
Pierre also worked for Dalberg in designing and implementing the Guinean Delivery Unit (DU) under the authority of the Prime Minister Mamady Youla. After the first strategic planning phase, Pierre was involved in the implementation process of the pineapple value chain to double cultivated areas and yields by 2020. Beyond these entrepreneurial experiences, Pierre worked as an analyst for Amethis Finance, an investment fund dedicated to Africa, studying industries such as Islamic Finance in Kenya or retail in Côte d’Ivoire.
