Biography

Omar Bekkali joined AfricInvest in 2010, and cumulates 13 years’ combined experience in private equity and investment banking, with a focus on key areas of expertise: financial sector, electronic payment, IT services, and renewable energy in both North and Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to AfricInvest, Omar worked within the Structured Finance department of Natixis, on syndicated loans in Project Finance, Real Estate and LBO sectors.

Omar currently heads North & Western African operations of AfricInvest financial sector fund FIVE (Financial Inclusion VEhicle). Omar graduated from Grenoble Ecole de Management with a Master degree and holds a Law degree from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
