Leo-Armel is an Executive Director of AB Microfinance Bank Nigeria (ABN) responsible for the agile digital transformation and innovation, strategic alignment between technology and business of the bank and driving the day-to-day operational excellence in an efficient manner. As seconded management staff of AccessHolding Germany, he joined ABN as program manager for the E-Business/Digital Finance program in Nigeria and supported other Branchless Banking projects in the Access Holding network in Africa. His professional background led him to work in Space, Consulting, Banking, Telecom, and Microfinance industries mainly in Europe and Africa where he managed various internal and cross-border strategic projects. Leo-Armel is also the Managing Director of Oyara Solutions Limited, the fintech subsidiary owned by AccessHolding and AB Microfinance Bank Nigeria, with main goal to support the digital transformation of their SME-focused commercial banks in Africa (West Africa, East Africa, Southern Africa).
He has an MSc in Financial Management and Microfinance from Solvay Business School & Paris Dauphine University, Belgium/France, a polytechnic engineering degree (MSc) from University of Mons, Belgium, a Certificate in Financial Engineering and Risk Management from Columbia University, USA, and a certificate in Fintech innovation from University of Oxford and Said Business School, UK.
