AFSIC is believed to be the largest Africa investment event taking place annually outside Africa and has become one of the most important conduits of investment into Africa.
Jyrki Koskelo has a 30 year plus career in development finance. He worked at IFC starting as an Investment Officer in 1987 and left after serving multiple years in IFC’s senior management team in 2011. He has acted in multiple Advisory and Board positions between 2012 and present focusing in financial sector, agri value chains and renewable energy – in Central Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is currently a Board member in FIBank, Bulgaria and Expobank in Czech Republic, a Chair of the Investment Committee and a Member of the Supervisory Board in KfW and EU sponsored agri value chain fund ( AATIF). He also acts as the Chair and founding member of Invest Solar Botswana.
