Guy Futi is a social entrepreneur turned tech intrapreneur based in Lagos, Nigeria. He is the Managing Director of On-Demand Services in Nigeria for the JUMIA Group (NYSE:JMIA), Africa’s first tech unicorn to list on the New York Stock Exchange.
Before Jumia, Guy was a Growth Manager at IrokoPartners, Africa’s biggest VC backed subscription video on demand platform, responsible for Iroko+, a joint venture of Canal Plus and IrokoPartners. Prior to that, Guy was the founder of MAJI WATER, a Canadian social enterprise with global water relief missions which retailed bottled water to over 500 points of sales, including Loblaws, Whole Foods, Metro, Pearson International Airport.
Guy Futi has been featured in The Financial Post, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and The Montreal Gazette. In his spare time, he creates and produces hit reality-TV shows including, Looking for Love Naija which airs all over the African continent on DSTV’s Africa Magic Urban. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec and a Master’s degree from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
