Co-founded by Ed in 2011, MERJ is an established global securities market for equities debt and derivatives. As an exchange operator, MERJ is breaking new ground by enabling the trade, clearance, settlement and registration of security tokens within a fully regulated market environment. MERJ’s impending IPO will mark the first time a token has been listed on a fully licensed stock exchange anywhere in the world.
Ed previously established Macquarie’s Equity Derivatives and Structured Finance business in South Africa and was a co-founder of Velocity Trade South Africa. Through successive roles, he has developed in depth expertise in regulation, markets, risk, operations and the implementation of IT infrastructure. Ed is a chartered accountant by training since qualifying with KPMG in 1999.
