Biography

I hold a Masters Degree in Management Studies (Financial Management) from Uganda Management Institute with earlier knowledge attained through a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from Makerere University.

I was a key note Speaker on the Risk Graduation Model at European Microfinance platform held in Luxembourg in November 2015. I have attended continuous professional development trainings in corporate governance, microfinance management, social performance management and customer service.

Currently working as General Manager since 2008 at Hofokam Limited, one of the leading microfinance institutions in Uganda. My working experience spans 27 years that has seen me work as Accounts Assistant, Accounts Officer, Accounts Manager, Treasury and Risk Manager, Branch Manager, act as Operations Manager, Regional Manager at Uganda Finance Trust. My experience has seen me grow in capacity and skills in governance, banking and microfinance competence.

My greatest achievement so far has been transforming Hofokam Limited from a loss making institution to a profitable one, growing market share, stabilizing operations and the general work place environment. As of now, Hofokam is on the road to transformation into a Micro Deposit taking Institution by the end of 2017.

Since January 2013, I have been a Board Member of African Microfinance Transparency (AMT). From June 2011 to June 2014, I served as the National Secretary of the Association of Microfinance Institutions in Uganda (AMFIU). These postings were assigned to me largely due to my competence and experience in the finance industry.
