Asha-Sabrina (known as Sabrina) is a qualified lawyer in Mainland Tanzania (Advocate), Zanzibar (Advocate) and England (Solicitor) and a registered Arbitrator (TiArb). Sabrina has considerable experience as a lawyer in private equity and corporate (including mergers and acquisitions), banking and debt finance, petroleum, mining and other regulated industries (including local content laws), infrastructure, construction and energy projects, insolvency and restructuring, and commercial law areas.
Sabrina is a recognised expert in Tanzanian business laws and her contributions include consulting for the Tanzanian President’s Delivery Bureau (PDB) and the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) on streamlining Tanzanian business laws as part of the Tanzania Development Vision 2025 ‘Big Results Now!’ (BRN) initiative. Sabrina is regularly an expert presenter to investors and lawyers across Africa, including for African and international bar associations. In 2019, Sabrina has moderated and spoken at two of the largest Ministerial dialogues with foreign investors, at the SADC Industrialisation conference and at the Tanzania Oil & Gas Congress, amongst other speaking engagements.
Sabrina is also a Board Member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Tanzania and the Secretary of the British Business Group in Tanzania.
Sabrina is ranked by international legal directories as among the top-17 lawyers in Tanzania for Business Law. Sabrina joined Bowmans Tanzania as a Partner in 2019, after working at two other Tanzanian law firms, and training in London law firms, and being Group Head of Legal of a pan-African construction group.
