Archibald is a microfinance banker with more than 10 years’ experience in the financial services sector, specifically managing microfinance enterprises structured to create social and economic value and providing opportunities for consumers at the base of the pyramid. Archibald prides himself as an impact entrepreneur and leader with over 6 years as CEO/MD of Salone Microfinance Trust Limited, one of Sierra Leone’s largest indigenous microfinance businesses. Prior to his current appointment, Mr Shodeke served as Deputy Director and head of operations of Salone Microfinance Trust Ltd, where he expanded the company’s revenue, client and portfolio by more than 40% and also accredited for championing the business strategy and transitioning of the MFI towards becoming a regulated MDI.

His career spans over 14 plus years’ progressive professional working experience in multidisciplinary environment, and executive positions mostly in the financial services sector. He has extensive knowledge and exposure to the challenges and opportunities in addressing issues of  financial inclusion, MSME’s and SGB’s within the context of Sierra Leone’s financial  services sector..  Salone Microfinance Trust Ltd has supported; offered financial services to several MSME’s and helped improve businesses for over a decade.

Archibald is a member of various development institutions networks and economic forums. As part of the founding team of the restructured Sierra Leone Association of Microfinance Institution (SLAMFI), Archibald currently serves as a board member in the SLAMFI board of directors. Mr. Shodeke earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the ALTIS Business School of the Catholic University of Milan, a Bachelor of Science in Finance (University of Phoenix), and a Diploma in Business from IPAM (University of Sierra Leone).

He has attended various professional development courses in leadership from reputable international universities including the Strategic Leadership course at Harvard Business School – Harvard University, USA ; The MFI management/leadership course at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Banking, Frankfurt , Germany.

He is a father to a daughter, Esther and married to Josephine.
