Anshul Rai is the Founder & CEO of the Nigeria Infrastructure Debt Fund, Africa and Nigeria’s first and only listed, local currency infrastructure debt fund. Anshul has spent over twenty years investing in and financing infrastructure across the Global Growth Markets, particularly in Africa and the Middle East. A vast majority of his time has been in principal investment roles, for both equity and debt financing, during which he has built a track record of delivering strong investment returns.
During his career, Anshul has worked for some of the most well-regarded entities in the infrastructure space, including HSBC, KPMG, the IFC, Veolia Water and Bank Muscat. His deal list includes dozens of projects across power, energy, utilities and transport sectors with investment value of c. USD50 billion.
Between 2006 and 2011, Anshul was the founding team member and MD of MENA Infrastructure Fund, where he built and managed a USD200 million investment portfolio of infrastructure assets across the MENA region.
