Amanda Cotterman is an emerging markets entrepreneur and investor who has been living in Kenya since 2012. Her focus has been building and investing in businesses catering to emerging middle class consumers in East Africa. Through her company, EquaLife Group, she has built, advised, and invested in businesses in a range of sectors, including education, fintech, FMCG, retail, and marketing, among others. Prior to her work in East Africa, she was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley covering technology in Asia-Pacific. Amanda holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics and Chinese Studies from Wellesley College.
