Biography

Zandile Shaba has over 20 years of banking experience in retail, investment and SME banking. Her banking career has spanned 4 countries, namely Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia and Malawi. She served as the Managing Director of African Banking Corporation (BancABC) in the first 3 named countries. Her final posting with BancABC was in Zimbabwe where she steered the bank through the most turbulent period in Zimbabwe. By the time she left, BancABC Zimbabwe was one of the top performing banks in Zimbabwe and in the BancABC group. Having worked in 4 countries, she also has an understanding of the challenges businesses face as they expand in Africa.

She is currently serving as the CEO of New Finance Bank Malawi Limited . Her core strengths are strategy formulation and implementation as well as turning around ailing institutions and making them profitable.
