Biography

seasoned banker with 17 years’ experience in banking industry, currently heading Treasury and member of senior Executive committee with Stanbic Bank Tanzania, a wholly owned subsidiary of Standard Bank Group based in South Africa.

With a solid background in financial market – dealing with foreign exchange, fixed income, Asset and Liability Management he has developed experience and tenacity to achieve stretching results whilst maintaining a risk and reward balance in managing balance sheet.
Prior to current role, he served as head of financial markets at Stanbic Bank Tanzania with overall responsibility for Trading (MM and FI) and Sales (on shore and offshore including custody business).
He started his career with Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania and filled various roles before moving to Standard Bank.

Zainul holds masters in Business Administration from American Intercontinental University in UK, a Post graduate Diploma in Finance from University of Leicester (UK) and undergraduate credentials from University of Leicester.
