Biography

Mr. René Zarske heads the Competence Centre for Mining & Mineral Resources at the Southern African-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in South Africa.

Mr. Zarske is experienced in the international markets and has been working in the world financial center’s Frankfurt am Main, Hong Kong, Melbourne and Shanghai. Internationally educated, he obtained his Master of Business at the Bond University in Australia with educational experience in Germany, Russia and Slovenia. Prior to his current role, Mr. Zarske acted as a consultant in the finance industry. The German citizen has overseen various projects in the field of Business Development and Strategic Management. Mr. Zarske’s current focus is on the markets in Southern Africa, specifically South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, exploring opportunities for German companies in the mining sector. Mr. Zarske is fluent in German, English, Spanish and lives in Johannesburg, South Africa.
