Biography

Nicole Iseppi is the Associate Director – Strategy & Market Development, Global Generation for ENGIE and also is Project & Legal Director of Terawatt Initiative – a global independent non-profit renewable foundation created out of COP21 Paris Agreement. Nicole is the only professional in the international energy industry (to date), who has worked in-house as a senior strategic adviser to both ENGIE (the world’s largest IPP global energy company) and one of the world’s largest project finance lenders – Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). Prior to joining ENGIE, Nicole was also mandated to act as the adviser for establishing and implementing, on behalf of the Japanese Ministry of Finance and JBIC – Japan Carbon Finance, Ltd (JCF) (a new financial institution created to support the development and financing of global renewable projects). As a result of Nicole’s international experience, she was appointed to co-lead TWI & the International Renewable Energy Agency’s (IRENA) ‘Global Solar Energy Standardisation Initiative’ and is a regular speaker at various global conferences, including asked to give the keynote address at the “Global Solar Leaders’ Summit” (2017) and speak at the “G20 Global Infrastructure Meeting” (2018). She has also been appointed by per industry peers, as a committee member of the International Bar Association’s Global Power Law Committee and has had the pleasure of being awarded, various global and regional awards by her industry peers, including – Global Energy & Natural Resource Adviser of the Year 2018 (Global Business Magazine), Named in Global Game Changers Index 2018 (Finance Monthly Magazine) and Global Energy Adviser of the Year 2017 & 2018 (Worldwide Financial Adviser Magazine).
