Biography

Muchindu is part of the executive management team of the Industrial Development Corporation and oversees the investments directorate as Chief Investments Officer. He has over the last one and a half decades been actively involved in managing and overseeing investment portfolios as well as leading teams in structuring complex corporate actions including leveraged buyouts, packaging project finance propositions and capital market transactions.

Muchindu has in the past held a number of senior management positions in private sector asset management and global advisory firms in Zambia. He has also previously served as a member of the board of directors of the Lusaka Securities Exchange, a member of the Compensation Committee of the Securities & Exchange Commission, a member of the Senate of the University of Zambia, Chairperson of the Technical Committee of the Zambia Association of Pension Funds and was the first President of the Capital Markets Association of Zambia.

Muchindu is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
