Biography

Mohit is MD and principal at Capital Pros, a cross-border corporate advisory with a presence in US, Netherlands, Brazil, UK, India, UAE and Africa. Mohit has a general background in cross-border finance spread over 17 years leading to successfully building & handling an aggregate credit exposure of ~$7bn. Additionally, Mohit has recently advised transactions over $1.7bn including special situations at private families, corporates and Financial Institutions.

His recent responsibilities have included business interests in over 50 countries spread across North America, Latin America, Asia, Middle East, and Africa.

He has covered a wide range of clients including flagship multinationals as well as middle markets names in sectors such as energy, metals, and softs. Within the financial services industry, he is well regarded for his relationship and credit risk focussed turnarounds & leading new business development initiatives successfully across multiple geographies.

Mohit has previously served with major international banks such as Standard Chartered, Rabo Bank, Standard & ICICI Bank. He has worked and lived in multiple locations including New York, Dubai, Johannesburg, New Delhi & Mumbai.

Mohit is also a contributor to Financial Times and has been a speaker at leading global conferences, his recent speaking assignments have included London School of Economics and FT-Brazil/Africa leadership conference. Other coverage includes CNBC, Reuters, and regional African media. His firm Capital Pros was recently awarded an Innovator Award in its size for global corporate advisory by CV-Magazine, UK.
His educational background includes MBA and M.S. from India. He is married with one son and enjoys comparing civilizations and geo-political-economic history in addition to adventure travel.
