Biography

Matome Modiba is an investment professional with over 10 years of Africa debt experience. He is currently working in Absa’s syndications team with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to taking on this role, he was an investment officer for FMO’s Southern African regional office. FMO is the Dutch DFI focused on providing debt and equity finance to private organizations in emerging markets. Before joining FMO, Matome worked in another South African bank’s Property Finance Africa team, arranging and structuring real estate loans in various African countries.
