Biography

Loay is the Head of Finance of CIB, he is also a Board Member and the Chairman of Audit Committee of Falcon Group. Loay is a member in the committee that is established by the Central Bank of Egypt to set the domestic regulations mainly in terms of IFRS and Basel.

He joined CIB – Finance team directly after being graduated with B.A in accounting from Cairo University in 1992.

He earned MBA in banking and finance from Maastricht School of Management (MSM), and received a professional diploma in Basel II from the American Bankers Association (ABA), and became certified in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and he earned Mphil from Maastricht School of Management (MSM) ), and finally earned EMBA from Chicago Booth University with honors.

Loay regularly speaks in national and international events hosted by prominent universities, institutions, and bodies like PRMIA, AUC, EBI, and AABFS in vital topics like Capital management, Basel accord, IFRS, Derivatives, and hedging strategies and engineering.
