Biography

Jorim Schraven is Director of the Impact and ESG department at the Netherlands’ Development Bank (FMO). This department is responsible for Impact advisory, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) due diligence, and Capacity Development assistance. Previously he was Director of the Strategy Department, and prior to this, Mr. Schraven was the Manager of the Credit Department at FMO and Chairman of the Investment Committee. He also was Manager of the Financial Institutions Africa department. This department is responsible for financing the Financial Sector in Africa.

Before joining FMO, Jorim Schraven was Head of the Retail team at Clear Capital Ltd., an equity research and advisory firm based in London. He also worked as Economist at the European Central Bank and held various positions at the Dutch Central Bank. He holds an MA in Economics and Management from Oxford University and an MSc in Microeconomics and Finance from Toulouse University.
