Biography

Jan Albert has long and deep experience in the financial sector in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has experience in strategy, general management, investing, fundraising, operations, business development, operations and credit. After many years in banking in Europe, Jan Albert joined FMO, the Dutch development bank, where he was responsible for many private equity transactions in Africa. He then became CEO of Alios Finance, Africa’s largest independent leasing company. He is now co-founder/CEO of Solarise Africa, a venture capital backed company that finances renewable energy assets for the SME market across Africa.
