Biography

Eva Yazhari is the CEO and General Partner of Beyond Capital, a global early-stage impact investment fund that invests in for-profit, purpose-driven businesses throughout East Africa and India.

Eva’s family has roots in Tanzania, and for the past decade she has invested in the next wave of innovation addressing the growing demand for basic goods and services for low income consumers in the areas of energy access, food security, financial inclusion, healthcare, and waste. Eva serves on the board of Frontier Markets and is a board observer at Karma Healthcare, and Redwing Labs.

Prior to launching Beyond Capital, Eva was a Vice President at EnTrust Capital, a multi-billion-dollar hedge fund investor and leading alternative asset manager headquartered in New York. At EnTrust, Eva was a member of the shareholder activism investment team where she led diligence and analysis including investments in Icahn, Trian, Pershing Square and Third Point.

Eva serves on leadership council of the Athena Center for Leadership at Barnard College and is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) where she serves on the executive committee of the Personal Investing Network. Eva is also the founder of The Conscious Investor, a weekly magazine that sheds light on the world of impact investing, and the co-host of The Beyond Capital Podcast.
