Biography

Erica is currently head of private debt in the Sanlam Investments Alternatives business unit. Previously she was a credit fund manager in the alternatives sector. She joined Gensec Bank in 2004 and moved from Finance to the Credit Analysis department in 2005 when Gensec Bank became Sanlam Capital Markets. She was moved to Cape Town in 2006 to head up the centralized Credit Risk Function for the Sanlam Group in Cape Town. She was manager in this division until 2012. Erica completed her BCom Hons degree in Accounting at the University of Port Elizabeth in 1999. She passed Board 1 and 2 at first attempt and registered as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 2003 after completing her articles at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She also completed a Masters in Financial and Portfolio Management at University of Cape Town in 2009.
