Biography

David is the Founder of Goldswans Group, a professional services firm focused on advisory, impact investing and enterprise in the emerging markets. He has 20 years’ experience in corporate finance, major capital projects, public private partnerships and digital transformation. He leads the firm’s strategy, overseeing stakeholder relations and new partnerships. He is a thought leader and active angel investor in emerging technologies, with more than 100 start-up companies in the portfolio.

At Deloitte, David worked on Private Equity M&A due diligence. In the public-sector, he delivered £300m+ capital investment in infrastructure projects from investment appraisal to risk management and capital monitoring for the UK local government infrastructure program. As finance strategist for the Royal Museums, he successfully implemented the £50m Cutty Sark refurbishment and £36m Sammy Ofer wing construction.

David holds an MSc from Oxford University, MBA from University of Wales and Executive Program (Microeconomics of Competitiveness) from Harvard Business School. He is a Member of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He has been a start-up Advisor at Oxford’s Entrepreneurship Centre, and is currently a Mentor and Judge for the Kellogg-Morgan Stanley Sustainable Investing Challenge.
