Biography

Mr Dean has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Gerald Group since 2012 and is a member of the Group’s Executive Committee. He is the majority shareholder in Gerald Group, headquartered in London, one of the world’s oldest and largest employee owned and controlled commodity trading companies, with revenues of approximately US10 billion. Mr. Dean has nearly two decades of experience in the global commodities trading and shipping industries, in addition to extensive knowledge in finance, accumulated over the course of his career. Before becoming Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Dean served as Chief Financial Officer for five years since 2007. Previously, he was Partner in Audit at Deloitte & Touche, where for over a decade, he specialised in the commodity trading and shipping industries.

Mr. Dean, a dual Swiss and American national, holds a Certified Public Accountant “CPA” degree and is a member of the Swiss Chamber of Accountants “Chambre Fiduciaire”.
