Biography

“Chris is a Managing Partner at Acre Impact Capital, responsible for deal origination, structuring, execution as well as managing strategic relationships with ECAs and Arranging Banks. Chris is a serial entrepreneur and a seasoned ECA professional with over 25 years experience in international banking principally in Risk, Project Finance and Export & Agency Finance.

Chris was the founder and Head of the Export & Agency Finance team at Investec Bank and has built the business to become a leading adviser and arranger in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, he has worked on over 25 transactions as advisor / arranger including in Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Ivory Coast as well as Australia and Europe. Throughout his career, Chris has managed books of ECA loans of billions of dollars across sovereign, project and corporate asset classes. Prior to Investec, Chris was Global Head of Structured Trade & Export Finance (“”STEF””) at ANZ Bank based in Singapore, establishing STEF offices in Japan, Korea, China, Singapore and Vietnam.

Prior roles at ANZ included Head of STEF Australia based in Sydney and a variety of positions in London in Risk & Portfolio Management. He was part of the Project Finance start-up business for ANZ in the early 90s which concluded some of the first limited recourse project financings in Asia.

Chris was a founding member of the ICC Export Finance Working Group (“”EFWG””) which has been established to represent the global export finance banking industry in its engagement with the Berne Union, regulators and the OECD. He was also a founding member and Co- Chair of the ICC EFWG Sustainability Sub-Committee focused on growing the sustainable funding activities of the export credit market.”
