Biography

Mr. Mognayie is currently Managing partner at Joshua’s capital were he oversees the day-to-day activities of the company.

He started his careers at JPMorgan Chase Bank in Milan, serving, as a salesperson, the bank Italian institutional assset management clients.

He then moved to Unicredit Markets & Investment Banking, in Milan and Munich, structuring Fixed Income and Equity products, as a salesperson, for the bank institutional clients.

After his experience in banking, He moved into strategy consulting, working for Ernst & Young Financial Business Advisory, A.T. Kearney, and L.E.K. Milan offices, addressing the firm corporate clients strategic issues.

Over the past 3 years, He has been dedicating most of his time helping European mid and large companies expanding into Africa, by implementing a wide range of projects throughout Africa.

Mr. Mognayie earned a MSc degree in Economics and Finance at Bocconi University, Milan and a dual MBA at SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan and the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business in South Africa. Mr. Mognayie has also been visiting student at the University of California at berkeley, USA, and at the Helsinki School of Economics in Finland.

He has extensive experience and relationships in Africa and a deep understanding of the African business and cultural environment.

He speaks fluently French, Italian and English, and command an intermediate working language of Spanish.

As a professional sommelier by passion, he spends part of its spare time visiting niche wine producers throughout Italy and France, in order to learn more about wine and share these delicacies with friends and family.
