Biography

Bamidele Olalekan Oseni is passionate about developing and implementing Enterprise Risk Management in Africa with the aim to add value to the institution by balancing risks and returns. As a seasoned and experienced Risk Management Professional of over a decade, he has implemented Enterprise Risk Management across the continent of Africa in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Mauritius, Uganda and South Sudan in West and East Africa.

Also, he has multi-country experiences and understanding of banking markets and regulatory frameworks in Africa Continent covering Countries of Southern, West, East, UEMOA and Central Africa. He has over 20 years experience in Banking, Auditing, Taxation and Consulting Services span over 24 Africa Countries in West, East, Central and Southern Africa. My banking experience transverse across several areas of banking such as: Retail & Commercial, Corporate Banking, Branch Operations, Financial Controls, Strategy, Internal Controls, Credit Assessment, Operational Risk, Credit Risk, Strategic Risk, Environmental & Social Risk, Risk Based Internal Audit, ALCO & Market Risk Management and AML & Compliance.

He was the Group Chief Risk of I & M Holding with subsidiaries in Banking, Insurance, Capital Market with presence in Kenya, Mauritius, Rwanda and Tanzania . Prior to now, He served as Head UBA Africa Credit Support with responsibilities to review and provide quality credit assurance for credit requests in 18 Africa Countries and pioneer Country Risk Manager of Ecobank South Sudan.

He is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (FCA), FICA, holder of Diploma in Advanced Risk Management in Finance and Banking by KPMG/Swedish International Agency. Also, he holds Masters of Arts Degree in Economics and B.Agriculture with Second Class Upper-Class degree.

He is an international trainer and speaker on Financial Management, Compliance, Internal Controls, and Enterprise Risk Management Africa Conferences.
