Biography

Afsane Jetha is the Co-Founder & CEO of Alta Semper Capital, an institutional private equity manager she founded in 2015 alongside Ronald Lauder (Chairman of Clinique LLC) and Richard Parsons (former CEO of Time Warner). Alta Semper is committed to democratizing access to generational health and well-being across growth markets. Alta Semper manages funds on behalf of its founding shareholders as well as various US and European institutions, and is one of the most active investors in the healthcare space in Africa, over the last three years. In recent years, the firm has invested in pharmaceutical manufacturing, retail pharmacies, digital healthcare platforms and cancer care and diagnostics platforms in Egypt, Nigeria, Morocco, Kenya and Pakistan.

Prior to founding Alta Semper, Afsane Jetha spent more than 15 years investing in the healthcare, consumer and technology sectors for various institutional investors across both emerging and developed markets. Afsane Jetha  holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSc in Economics, from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She has strong personal and professional ties to East Africa.
