Biography

Tshidi Hagan is an investment professional working for Old Mutual Emerging Market’s (“OMEM’s”) Africa Strategic Investment Fund. Her role is focused on Strategic Investments and Partnerships particularly in FinTech and InsurTech that have the potential to accelerate growth and build insights and future options in markets where OMEM has a presence, wants to grow or is looking to enter. She is also responsible for M&A origination and execution as well as the strategic review of the continued viability of businesses across the OMEM Group.

Tshidi has over eight years’ experience in financial advisory and investments. She’s executed assignments worth over $2.5 billion across multiple sectors including construction, financial services, health care, infrastructure, manufacturing and mining. Tshidi previously ran a strategy advisory business which offered business development, change management and fundraising solutions for South African SMEs. Prior to that she worked as a Senior Transactor for Quartile Capital (a boutique financial advisory, treasury and consulting firm) and as an associate within Standard Bank’s M&A team.
