Sam Chidoka

Mr Sam Chidoka is a seasoned investment banking professional with particular focus on the debt capital markets.  He has led bond issuances and underwriting for subnationals – Bauchi, Imo, Plateau, Niger, Ebonyi and Cross River States in Nigeria; Government agencies  –  Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria Residential Mortgage Backed Bonds and Corporates  –  Fidelity Bank Plc Unsecured Fixed Rate Bond, Dana Group of Companies Plc Medium Term Note Programme and Tower Aluminum Group.

He started his banking career with the then NAL Bank (now Sterling Bank Plc) Nigeria where he worked in the operations and Capital Markets Group of the Bank.

In 2007, he became an Assistant Vice President and the Head of Equity Capital Markets at UBA Global Markets Limited (now United Capital Plc). He was also the Vice President and Head of Corporate Finance at Dunn Loren Merrifield Advisory Partners in 2009 before joining Planet Capital Limited as Director and Head of Debt Capital Markets in 2012.

He holds a Degree in Business Management from the University of Nigeria and is currently undergoing the Chief Executive Programme of the Lagos Business School. He has undertaken courses by Euromoney on Valuation for IPOs and M&A’s, the Post Merger Integration Seminar by the Central Bank of Nigeria in conjunction with HSBC and JP Morgan, the Investment Analysis programme of the West Africa Capital Markets School, and the Course on Understanding Capital Market Rules and Regulations organized by the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission.
